What is Voices Of The World?
Voices Of The World is an international project created by Sharon Tonner, a lecturer at the University of Dundee in Scotland. The project strives to connect children from around the globe using their voice and their own language. Each month a new task is assigned to the participants. Each task must meet the following criteria:
- Use an online tool to display task incorporating audio and images
- Be simple enough that it will be understood by all – eg, days of the week, months, rhyme, song…
- Be manageable by other members without taking up too much time
This year approximately 70 classes around the globe are participating in the project.
